A Turkestan Legion Volunteer’s Sleeve Insignia, First Pattern consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac cellion style embroidered tab(Heer rmelschild eines turkestanischen Freiwilligen in der Wehrmacht). Constructed of field grey rayon, the obverse bearing a central machine embroidered multi coloured mosque, overlaid by an inscription of TURKISTAN, topped by an inscription of BIZ ALLA BILEN (WE BELIEVE IN ALLAH), unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), in uniform removed and extremely fine condition.
